Flexibility with repeat sign

• Jul 18, 2023 - 02:58

Edited 7/20/23. I am sorry that my original post was not understandable.

The sign ./. is defined as 1 repeated measure. It is however also used for smaller units. I have four identical triplets (worth 1/4 note each) in a row and my hand written source presents this as the triplet written out once, followed by ./. ./. ./.
Is there a way to use this sign with a duration of less than a full measure? Or is there a different sign for this purpose? I believe that a triplet written out once followed by 3x this sign will be easier to read than a sequence of four identical triplets, not to mention that it will save space and potentially lower the number of page turns.
