Re-pitch mode: is this a bug?

Hey, I'm new to MuseScore and couldn't find in the docs if this behavior is desired or if it's a bug.

Description: I'm in tab mode. I have a melody with all its rhythms and pitches, and I want to keep the rhythms while changing some of the pitches. I have re-pitch mode on, I press "N" and it takes the duration of the last selected note. I change the pitch with the keyboard numbers and arrows (to move to a different string).

The issue is that when a move to the next note with the right arrow key, the duration doesn't update, it's just kept the same as the first note I started editing.
So, my only solution until now is to go in and out of Note Input mode for each note, which is extremely annoying.
Something similar happens when using the mouse to select notes.

It doesn't seem like this is the desired behavior. I would have thought that in "Re-Pitch" mode, the durations
would always stay the same.
In any case, I've only been using the software for a week, so I may be missing something.

Thank you
