Playback tempo issues

I started a score in cut time with tempo marking half note = 112. Upon playing back the score, it was playing at quarter note = 112 instead. Slightly annoying, but no big deal - I dragged the playback toolbar down to be able to adjust the tempo to what it should be for playback, set the speed to 200% quarter = 224

While playing back, I accidentally hit a note input key, and this seemed to really mess with the tempo setting - instead of the 200% quarter = 224 I'd set it to, it was now quarter = 896
repeating the action at different tempo percentage settings seems to move the tempo to a specific tempo marking at each given percentage. e.g. tempo set to 300% will move to 3024bpm when entering a note, 200% always to 896 bpm, 20% to 1bpm, 150% to 378bpm. Then scale from there using the percentage slider. Really weird behavior.

Closing and reopening the file seems to have resolved it, and I haven't been able to replicate the problem on this or any other score, but it was so bizarre I wanted to throw up a post about it.
