Shift Marching Snare Drum Defaults to "C" and Bass Drum Shortcuts

Hi all,
In MS 4.3.2, all marching snare drum music defaults to the center line of the staff, and all stems default to be Up. However, in most drumline music, snare drum defaults to the "C" above middle C, with stems defaulting downward. I've posted an image, with the top staff being Marching Snare Drum.

Also, could we change the Bass Drum Shortcuts? Having the rims use shortcuts, but not the unison hit is not very helpful, as using individual bass drums, and the unison bass are used much more frequently then individual rims.
