Can't select MIDI I/O

I'm using OS: Windows 11 Version 2009 or later, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore Studio version (64-bit): 4.4.3-242971445, revision: eb6b367

I received a MIDI cable yesterday, followed the instructions in the "MuseScore in Minutes: Using MIDI Keyboards" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAqF3Ok8_Rs) and was up and running.

Today when I tried to enter some notes from my Yamaha electric piano, nothing happened. I rewatched the video and was double-checking the settings in Musescore, I discovered that the MIDI section of the Audio & Midi dialogue are empty. (See screenshot Audio & MIDI dialogue.png).

I tried to select USB MIDI Interface for both Input and Output. The options appeared in the drop down menu, but these options never get saved. I captured a video of what I'm talking about, saved in the attached "Can't select MIDI io.zip".

Any suggestions?
