My own compilation of Orchestral sounds
https://musical-artifacts.com/artifacts/5506/MCO.sf2
This soundfont is based on a Lot of sources, but all was processed for having the less disk space, this originally was intended for Live free gigs using a mt-32 PI and playing some DOS games and for singing karaoke in certain contests, but I focus only on having a credible orchestral Section, but a little more focused on Jazz and a more amateur music sound instead of a rompled one
Keep in mind that this can contain various licensed but I Will describe the source at detail
Instruments
..- Celesta = PJ Cohen Celesta (Mike Processed)
.- Glockenspiel = Versilian Studios (Milke7154 processed)
.- Marimba = Marimba chiapaneca of OMI y sus teclados + Marimba Guatemalteca + Yingchunsoul processed Versilian Marimba (well in this case I prefer more latín marimbas than the american and european ones)
.-Xylophone = Versilian Studios (FreePats Ver) (Mike Processed)
.- Tubular Bells = Versilian Studios (FreePats Ver) (Mike Processed)
.- Violin = Arianna Cunningham
.- Viola = OmegaGM (this is the only convincing viola, however I am not sure that a Real person took place on recording the samples used in this one, not precisely for the license, I am aware that this thing not precisely comes from a guy/girl playing his viola, even I am not sure that this thing was sampled from the orchestral sample libraries from 90s/early 2000 like miroslav or CD something or classic multisamples) (in this case this was decided after listening another viola soundfonts and say, aww shit this is the one that doesnt sound worst in multiple string quartet midis, even versilian,) (In this case I will keep this forever until I find another samples that I was sure that was sampled from the real instrument and that samples could be processed for having the same disk space consumption, sound ear quality with the proper noises) (Mike Processed)
.- Cello = Ethan Winer (I think that I used FluirR3GM ver) (Mike Processed), maybe I do. A restoratiom of this with My own process from the original samples
.- Contrabass = Campbell Double Bass (Mike Processed)
.- Tremolo Strings = GoNet Merlin_Orchestra(V1.40).sf2 well it's the Most realistic without layering, plug and play and the Most low disk spaced
..- Pizzicato = Stereo Pizzicato + DX Super Pizz by Xiao Du, in this case stereo pizzicato was obtained in the tour inahama All in one soundfont, ironically a Pizzicato cello can cover perfectly the needs of a Pizzicato ensemble but... Well I need more magestuosity
.- Harp ripped of ALLINONE Toru Inahama (In this case I will keep this forever until I find another samples that I was sure that was sampled from the real instrument and that samples could be processed for having the same disk space consumption, sound ear quality with the proper noises)
.- Timpani = a layer of Versilian Timpani and Douglas Timpani with short looping and mono conversión
.- Strings Marcato (Strings 1) = Versilian (violins, basses, cellos, violas layered, mixed and resampled) + Florestan Strings Martellato (As Stacatto in a way Modal Synth-like Bow attack, similar to the crisisGM and Papelmedia strings) with EMU Sound Central Arco strings
.- Legato Strings (Strings 2) = Ripped of Frank Wen FluidR3 GM
.- Choir Ahh = Riped of UHD3 Soundfont, well I think that is almost the squidfont soundfont choir that use Irina Brochin, is the same in ALLINONE and among others
.- Trumpet = Jazz Trumpet.sf2, but I rip this one of soundfontMG, but is almost the same trumpet that weedsGM, UHD3, Mr.KhanSoundMixerV.2.sf2 and Wan_StudiO Mix 2012 Medaim.sf2 (I use this trumpet cuz the high notes and sound less artificialy, well its a latin trumpet, is more versatile than every Roland like or even orchestral soundfont ones, and go well even with symphonic music) (in this case I am sure that is one really have a real trumpet behind, How i know this? well after listening the high notes and the natural vibratos, 100 percent sure that this thing not came from a 90s cheesy rompler, a SA Super Synthesis like Yamaha Arranger or a VST of Synthesis ) this is one of the cases I think that I really need for a general midi a Caliente bien caliente y requete picante enchilada very hot latín ay ay ay hispanic impolite non clasical instrument trumpet work better and versátile not matter if it's pop, or Classical music, covers General Midi without sounding average or overused and common
.- Trombone resampled of resampling a kontakt instrument that is based on "Kick Ass Brass" this is one of the cases that a Caliente bien caliente very hot latín ay ay ay instrument work better and versátile not matter if it's pop, or Classical music, covers General Midi without sound average
,.Tuba = DrJassMusic Tuba Sinaloense (well is a staccato tuba looped, belive me in general midi context works better than a legato tuba), well it doesnt matter, instead of a Legato orchestral tuba a Staccato looped tuba works better for a variety range nincluding polka and orchestral music
.- Mute Trumpet = New Grounds User sorohanro Muted trumpet (processed)
.- French Horns = Ripped From Inahama ALLINONE and mixed with "FluidR3", well after discover that all GM soundfonts that share this samples this came from Squidfont? (almost like the choir)
.- Brass Section = My Own Sinaloa Brass Section resampled, it cames by layering Romantic TP, a sinaloense trumpet, some saxes and a two sinaloense trombones with a lot of single low size solo horns
.- Soprano Sax is a total conversion of a kontakt library from "Brazilian Forro underground Comunity free libraries" called Kenny G Sax and processed (In this case I will keep this forever until I find another samples that I was sure that was sampled from the real instrument and that samples could be processed for having the same disk space consumption, sound ear quality with the proper noises)
.-Alto Sax =not very convinced but just for have a new placeholder I replace it by best service pop brass alto sax
.- Tenor Sax = cames from JSSaxTP(loopedversion).sf2 by JeriSoft RMG Inc.
.- Baritone Sax = Club Baritone Sax by Cirwuhe
.- Oboe = now replaced by decent oboe by by wildgoose789
.- English Horn = Eddie English Horn, +In this case I will keep this forever until I find another samples that I was sure that was sampled from the real instrument and that samples could be processed for having the same disk space consumption, sound ear quality with the proper noises) (Mike Processed)
.- Bassoon = Ethan Winer (In this Case I am sure that I used the FluidR3, but same as cello, the samples are shared in fluidR3, Arachno, OmegaGM and I think that in General User by SC Colins)
.- Clarinet = Laurelin Clarinet but looped and reduced
.- Piccolo = after listening a lot of piccolo samples from various free orchestral soundfonts and other, well for me the piccolo is more a cha cha cha piccolo and unable to get a more realistic piccolo that doesnt came from a rompler, I decide to use Ixox flute instead, is the most close to "cha cha cha piccolo"
.- Flute = in this case My favorite flute was Iowa Flute with vibrato, súper short looped and mono version, in my vision the preset 73 must be a "jazz airy flute" and Iowa do the job
.- Folkloric Fiddle = Violin from OmegaGM, but maybe I Will do some replacements
Greetings from mexico
