Special advice for laying out a part score for virtuosic violin

• Mar 22, 2015 - 20:01

I have a series of pieces called "Subjects," which are intended for advanced string players. The score sheets -- intended for the public and for critique -- are easy enough; this is what MuseScore is for.
But i want to prepare accompanying part sheets for each of the soloists. Any tips for good layout?

Is it normal to include (in the respective part sheets) the fret diagrams or fingerings for these difficult pieces? Do i need to include playing intentions, "margin notes" as it were, which might not be present in the general score? Should the note placement be more spread out for easy sight-reading or will a good player be okay with a tighter look?

Advice from accomplished soloists would be helpful.
