Notes only being allowed to replace other notes

Thid is a very nice program, but I find one aspect very frustrating. That is not being able to enter notes, or rests, without replacing something else. I find rests being placed in wtong places, two sets of triplets being made instead of one, and all other kinds of mixups just because the program will not let me enter where I want to. So I would like the option to not have the program control this. Then I can just enter notes or rests where I want to, and delete whatever extras that exist. Please take a look at Neurotron Photoscore which allows you to enter whatever you want, but then tells you when the timing is wrong.
