reduce vertical space
I'm relatively new to MuseScore and not very familiar with layout terminology. I have read various posts relevant to my question, but perhaps not all of them. So perhaps someone will go over this again for me. I have simple music consisting of single staves, lyrics, and chord symbols, and I would like to drastically reduce the very extensive vertical space between lines of lyrics and chord symbols atop the next staff, without altering overall scaling, in the interest of getting more musical lines on each page and thus reducing or eliminating page turning. How should the many MuseScore page and layout parameters (other than overall scaling) be changed from default values in order to reduce vertical spacing to a very small value? Many thanks.

I've read the handbook sections and done a fair amount of experimentation, without success. I have attached a MuseScore file.
Style ->General ->Page and reduce Max. system distance to 12 or whatever other value suits you.

That does it. Many thanks.
