There is a Solo button in the Mixer view (View > Mixer, or shortcut F10). In case you’re not familiar with this sort of thing, Solo is the round green button with an ‘S’ on it, above the instrument volume fader.
It would be nice to have the green button displayed on the main page when an instrument is soloed, instead of having to go back into the mixer view to turn it off.

In MuseScore 4, you can solo an instrument by simply selecting it before starting playback. You can solo multiple adjacent instruments the same way.
