This occurred right after Musescore's updater restarted my computer.
Musescore asks me if I want to restore my session. Even with a Yes or No response, it would load nothing and eventually crash.
Summary of Events, and how to possibly produce this issue:
1) I updated Musescore.
2) The updater restarted my computer.
3) After the restart, I open Musescore.
4) Musescore says something unexpectedly went wrong and asks me if I want to restore session.
5) Musescore opens but in 3-5 seconds, it crashes.
Comments
The MuseScore updater would not restart your computer, so step 2 just won't happen. You must mean something different here.
Try starting MuseScore by double-clicking a score, if that works in Edit > Preferences > Generat disable "Show start center. If it doesn't work try reverting to factors settings, see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/revert-factory-settings#Via_command…
The description from Timothy is exactly what happened to me, including restarting (step 2).
If you double-click a score then Musescore wont't crash, but reverting to factory settings doesn't solve the problem.
The workaround is to disable the start center

I should've mentioned this! I looked through my files and I saw my scores. I clicked on one of them and Musescore booted up normally.
CORRECTION: Musescore's updater told me to restart through them or to restart manually.

This bi-passes the start center. So removing its check in Edit->preferences is the workaround mentioned by Jojo.
