Drumset problems
So i tried to create just a drum set sheet but 2 problems
1. the select instruments window did not have any instruments. It had 3 wind instruments and marching percussion(i did install the marching percussion add on)
2. i went to the preset with the drum set and it was there however no sound was coming out.
What do you recommend i do
Im on the latest version of Musescore.

I'm guessing you installed an outdated "marching percussion add on". As far as I know, the current versions of MuseScore come with most of the necessary support for the extra marching instruments built in and working out of the box, aside from the need to select appropriate sounds in the Mixer. I'm guessing whatever you installed is simply incompatible with the current version.
So first thing I'd suggest is "Revert to factory settings" as documented in the Handbook to undo whatever customization you did. Depending on what it was exactly, it might also be necessary to reinstall MuseScore, but reinstalling on its own probably wouldn't be enough - the Revert is normally very important.
Then if you continue to have problems, follow up and post more information - precise step by step[ instructions to reproduce the problem, screenshot showing the problem you are seeing, etc.
I'm guessing you followed the instructions on Mike Schorsch's website.
These are only relevant to MuseScore 1.x and will break a MuseScore 2 installation if used.
As you have already discovered!
Marching Percussion support is already there in the INstrument list.
All that is required for you to do is to download and install the Marching Percussion Soundfont.
We currently cannot include it in the default soundfont due to licensing issues.
