editing a pdf to music file
I have pdf to music pro & exported a piece of music. It worked well bet there are a few issues. it has piano music as well as 4 part harmonies & goes into a cappella in the middle. there are a few bars that have pauses that aren't supposed to be there. I can't seem to remove them. even when I remove the rests or move them, there is still this pause.

I uploaded the file
Select these measures and press Del.
Then go to Style -> Edit general style -> Score -> Hide empty staves.

I tried it & it didn't work.

There are some (hidden) rests in voice 1 of the piano part. Swapping voices 1 and 2 should allow for these rests to get deleted.

thank you but the pauses are still there. the first 3 notes in the piano music then a pause that shouldn't be there & the first 2 notes of the a cappella then another pause that shouldn't be there. here is an edited version where the tenor base parts of the a cappella are in the right place.

You mean the 2 rests (1/8 +1/4) in measure 1? If you don't want these you need a pickup measure. see attached
I don#t understand what rest in the choir part you are talking about, I see no rest after the first 2 notes in Soprane/Alto resp. Tenor/Bass

its not a rest. its a blank space. I have no idea how it happened but its 2 8th notes & a weird invisible pause then the quarter note. the lyrics are O to grace. its O to (pause) grace... & its supposed to be O to grace (no pause). perhaps if you saw the original pdf copy you will see what Im talking about.
this is the original pdf that was converted in the pdf to music pro program then experted into musescore.

Ah, I see now, this is another pickup measure, 1/4, stolen from the previous measure.

thanks. I managed to get rid of the rests at the beginning as well. thanks so much. Im not really good at music theory.
