Unable to edit instrument name (0.9.6 regression)

Editing again a 9.5 score under 9.6 2613

I add a staff, and then tried to change the long and short names from the staff contextual menu.
The suppression of the names given at the creation works, but the cration of new names doesn't.
I had to copy paste by editint the xml file to get names.

When you right click on an instrument name there is no "Staff Properties..." option in the context menu. Is this what you mean?

In current versions of MuseScore you have to right click on the actual staff to get the "Staff Properties..." option. Also double clicking on the text works for me. (Tested using r. 2776 nightly, Windows 7)

Step to reproduce with r2779

  1. Open Promenade
  2. Right click on the first measure
  3. Choose staff properties
  4. Enter "Piano" as long instrument name
  5. Press OK

Expected result: "Piano" should appear in front of first staff
Actual result : Nothing happens

Remark: Same with short instrument name

Another way:

  1. Create a picolo score
  2. Select picollo instrument name and press Del
  3. The instrument name disappears
  4. Right click on the first measure
  5. Choose staff properties
  6. Enter "Piano" as long instrument name
  7. Press OK

--> Nothin happens

Status (old) fixed ⇒ active

Undo removes the instrument name.

  1. Right click on empty part of the measure
  2. Choose Staff Properties
  3. Change the instrument names
  4. Press OK
  5. Edit > Undo

Expected behavior: Instrument names should return to their previous names

Actual behavior: Instrument names disappear
