Pedal marks (not lines) to work during playback

I would like the pedal mark symbols (from the symbol menu when 'Z' is pressed) to actually sustain during playback. (Look at the images if you are unclear) I know that the pedal lines work during playback but in most circumstances with long phrases that are continuously sustained, the long lines look a bit messy especially if there are many notes or going to a new line.

If there is either a way to make the lines invisible then please let me know but otherwise, this would be great!
