great new MIDI Ch assignment w/ index problem
Hi,
Some days ago I checked the discrete MIDI Ch assignment. It worked fine, but saving these settings was not possible.
Today I downloaded the current nightly (Dec.22) for windows (8.1)
Saving was possible, but the outgoing midi data was shifted (-1) for all set midi-channels but Ch. 1
So eg.
Setup Ch. 1 -> Outgoing Ch. 1 (as expected)
Setup Ch. 2 -> Outgoing Ch. 1
Setup Ch. 3 -> Outgoing Ch. 2
Setup Ch. 4 -> Outgoing Ch. 3
and so on.
Maybe an easy indexing problem?

Arrgh!
It works in the score. But parts do not inherit the midi ch. settings. Planned feature, I guess?

Can you describe the problem in details? As far as I know there have been no change in this area of the code since december 23.

- New Score with two or more instruments
- Assign (under F10) first instrument to outgoing MIDI Port 1 /ch. 1
- Assign second instrument to outgoing MIDI Port 1 /ch. 2 a.s.o
- My VST shows, that everything is set up correctly (not like in the nightly Dec 22, where both instruments would play on ch.1 (and the third instrument on ch. 2, see my description above)
- Generate parts. Have a look inside the parts: Press F10. In every part the instrument is assigned to ch.1

Hello,
don't understand: how do you assign the instruments to special channels?
I can't see an option for that when i press F10 (Mixer)

Ah, OK
The feature is hidden by default. You have to go to Preferences/Score first. Once there you must check the option "Show midi controls in mixer" That's all
