Notes

Hello, so bear with me when I ask this question. I'm trying to transpose something by ear and distinctly I can hear that the first quarter note also has a sixteenth note on it. Does that make sense? Like there is clearly a quarter note, but there is also a sixteenth note on it as well. Does anyone know how to put that onto the document? Please help.
