One staff, then two
I'm writing a piece for harp and would like (for silly arty reasons) to start off with one staff - but then after this intro, have the conventional two staffs. Is there a way to do this?

Style>Global style>Score>Mask empty staves
If I create a score for harp I am givn two staves, treble and bass. If I use your suggestion only staves where both upper and lower are empty are hidden, and then both are hidden. I have notes filling the treble stave but want the empty bass stave to be invisible until about bar 5.

you are using a Grand Staff. If you switch to 2 separate instruments you should be able to get what you need.
