How do I request for code?
I was wondering that. I decided that I would attempt coding at this program. I was suggested to join by many people. However, I don't exactly know how to do that. I was told that compiling was step #1, however, the instructions provided were not really helpful.
Could someone explain to me step-by-step in as much detail as possible how to compile, and code?

Which operating system do you use? Which part of the instructions was not clear to you?

Windows 10, the QT and Cmake part were a little confusing. I believe I got the QT part down, but Cmake was what stumped me.

Can you be even more specific about what doesn't work for you and/or should be clarified?
And if you can, joining the developer channel on IRC is the fastest way of dealing with compiling issues on the spot. The channel is #musescore on freenode; if you don't have an IRC client, you can always join using the web client using this personalized link

Okay, here's what's confusing about the instructions.
For the Cmake part, it says that versions up to 3.4.3 work, however, 3.5.1 is known to cause issues. When I got to that part, I saw versions up to 3.6.x. I looked at the older versions tab, however, I saw a lot of 3.0.0s. I didn't exactly know what to download. If that could be clarified, it would be nice.

jeetee, how would I create an IRC client, and register with an actual nickname? Something did x out the tab, and I realized everything sort of vanished.

There are a number of clients available; I myself am quite content with using Pidgin https://pidgin.im/
Registering your nickname can be done once you're connected with the chatroom by following from step 3 of http://www.wikihow.com/Register-a-Nickname-on-Freenode onwards
