MIDI Export Fails
Hello. I'm using version 0.9.5 r1958 on PPC Mac OS X 10.4.11 and MIDI export isn't working. I export to MIDI, but the file that is created does not play. If I open it in QuickTime, for example, it says "Mac OS error -208".
The .mid file that it creates is extremely small - e.g. 8KB for the demo file Promenade - but the file size does appear to be proportional to the length of the music, which suggests that data is being written, but that the MIDI file is invalid in some way.

MIDI is a group of instructions telling a MIDI-compliant device what sounds to make.

I know that, but QuickTime is capable of playing MIDI files, and all other MIDI files do work for me in this way.
There is a known bug in midi export/import with RC2 and Mac PPC. I fixed it for the incoming stable release.
