I can't get MuseScore to install
Hi, I am trying to download Musescore but struggling. The installer has
downloaded but I can't get it to load to install the program. Nothing happens
when trying to open the installer package. Do you have any ideas?

Hi, I followed that video but after typing the a.msi into command promt, running as administrator, it comes up saying Access is denied....
(operating system is Windows Vista)

have you tried to download the file, then right-click Run as Administrator?

There is no 'Run as Administrator' when I right click on the file. That article mentions what to do if that is the case, but it says to run the program that opens the file as administrator. I think this would mean Windows Installer? I can't find the location of that to run it as administrator. Apologies if I am doing something wrong.

Try a different browser (here Firefox on Vista) and download it again.
Right click it work on the executable, eg.:

I downloaded it again using Internet Explorer instead of Chrome and it has worked perfectly first time, no problems. Thanks for your help!

I have gone to previous versions and I have managed to install Musescore 1.3 but this is the most recent one I can get. Would it be that 2 upwards isn't supported on Vista? Is there another way round this? This would be unfortunate as it is bagpipe music that I write, and as far as I can see, the bagpipe embellishment tool is only available from version 2...

1.3 / 2.0.3 / Nightly can coexist (even on the old Vista that I am using)
Try also install a Nightly
