Displaying Time Signature in Guitar Tab

I'm working on a guitar tab piece that has multiple time signature changes. When I drag the time signature onto the tab it does correctly change the time signature of the subsequent measures but doesn't display the time signature label. When I add a linked staff to the tab, the staff displays the time signature labels as expected...but I want the guitar tab to display with the time signatures Any ideas?
