rests

I would like to create simple exercise sheet where students will fill empty places between the notes in the staff with correct notes or rests. It is meant for beginner theory classes. It means no rests should appear until student fill them in. Is this possible in the Musescore? I have only managed to move rests outside (above) the staff, but they can't be erased from the sheet completely. Notes can't be erased at all (they are always replaced with the appropriate rest).
