splitting beams
OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.4.2.9788, revision: 148e43f
Hi all
I am having trouble splitting a bar of 8 quavers (in 4/4) into groups of 3 + 3 + 2. I couldn't manage it in time signature properties ( a suggestion from 2019 in this forum).
I've also tried, as per the handbook,
"Alternatively, you can change beaming by dragging a beam icon onto a note, as follows:
"Start beam" icon Start beam at this note."
That also doesn't work.
So I'm afraid I'm here again asking for where I have obviously gone wrong.

Using the time signature properties should by far be the easiest if the grouping should last during that whole time signature and that most definitely works.
So what goes wrong when you try it?

Hi Jeetee
I have now managed to get the Time Signature Properties to accept the way the Quavers 'should look' but don't seem to be able to translate that onto the score. As you can see, the "Values" are greyed out (just in case that is anything to do with it.

Hi Jeetee
Cracked it! I have to delete what I've written and re-write the quavers! I had wrongly supposed that it would superimpose the new rhythm structure 'on top'. Thanks for your help.
