Modify number of measures per line

• Jun 26, 2021 - 15:50

This is the second downloaded version (untouched by me), of the invention where I am trying to change the number of measures per staff without success. There is something that I am missing in the two explanation I received from Marc. Per his suggestion, I have downloaded the file of Bach's Invention #13. I would like to be able to increase or decrease the number of measures per line. I consider myself still a novice so I need fairly detailed instructions.

Thank you in advance.

Abraham

You posted a score, so what exactly are you trying to do?
Whatever it is, if you plan on printing the score on paper, set the display to 'Page View' --- which shows how the score will look "in real life".
See:

Next, if you are messing with number of measures per line, go to Format -> Add/Remove System Breaks... and click 'Remove current system breaks' then OK.
See:
https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/layout-and-formatting#system-breaks

Now that you have MuseScore's basic layout, you can tweak it however you see fit.

Nothing happened???
Did you follow the instructions (and read the handbook links)?

Look at this:

That's exactly what happened in the picture above.
