Best Linux distribution on which to run Musescore

I want install Linux on one of my old laptops currently running Windows 10. The Musescore notation program will be primary use of this machine. I notice that there are a dozen or more Linux distributions to choose from. Does anyone have a recommendation as to which version to use? I would like this OS to support the built-in sound-font library and be compatible with Musescore 4 when it comes out. Thank you
