"Fill with Slashes" tool defaulting to half note figures?

I am trying to fill the last 8 bars of this song with quarter note slashes but for some reason it keeps defaulting to half note slash figures and I can't figure out why. I've tried putting quarter note rests in and it doesn't solve the problem. Can anyone figure out why this is happening?

If you want 4 slashes per measure change the time signature to c (common time, or 4/4). Select the measures, use Tools -> Fill With Slashes. Then put the cut time signature back.

Ah of course, it's cut time, can't believe I didn't clue into that! I followed your instructions and it worked perfectly. Thank you!
