Corrupt Measure Errors
Hello Musescore,
I am receiving corrupt measure errors on Measures that are clearly not corrupt.
If I delete the measure and rebuild, then the previous measure is flagged as corrupt. Please see measures 49/50 in the upload.
This is a score that was created in a previous release of musescore.
Please advise on how this can resolve

It seems that your problems are caused by tuplets which cross a barline. All the errors occur in Stave 1 (piano RH). So this means that you need to delete and rebuild two adjacent measures in each reported error.
This is what I would do:
1. Navigate to each reported error.
2. Use the Insert key to insert two empty measures before the errored measure.
3. Copy the two measures of Piano LH into the two new empty measures.
4. Delete all the notes in Piano RH for the reported measure and the subsequent measure (where the tuplet crossed the barline).
5. Select the reported measure and the subsequent measure and delete them entirely with Ctrl+Delete.
6. Re-enter the missing notes in Piano RH, avoiding cross-measure tuplets if possible.
The attached score has two errors repaired, as shown on the attached error file.

Be careful that you are referring to the internal (absolute) measure numbers which MuseScore shows in the status bar at the bottom of the screen. The contents of measures 49 and 50 clearly are corrupt in some way, because MuseScore is trying to fit the entire sextuplet into either m.49 or m.50. Cross-measure tuplets are not permitted in MuseScore without the kludge described in the How To in the post above.

Hello Daniel,
Yes, thank you.. this is quite confusing re: the exact measure numbers. i.e. 51 vs 49.
Now that I have clarity on the cause being the tuplets.. I will divide these into two triplets.. unless there is a better method ?

The confusing bar numbers are from measures that are the wrong length. See, for example, bar 23, which is 6/4 instead of 3/4. Enter there quarter rests and split the measure bevor the 4. quarter rest. Set the value of "Add to measure number" to 0 in the next measure.
The sheet was probably created by PDF import and the bar line wasn't recognized at this point (and at several other points).

Yes this is quite confusing.. this is what I am currently seeing at measure 23.. I've tried inserting, joining, etc and it is always skipping a measure and out of sync ??

One other quick note.. I followed the steps above w/o issue.. but I can not locate "Set the value of "Add to measure number" to 0 in the next measure." which should be bar 25 but displays as bar 26 ??

One last item.. I found the "Add to measure number" to 0 in the next measure." dialog.. however when I set this to 0 .. the system will not display the measure number ? Thank you for your assistance..

It's not possible to advise you just based on an image. It's also very important to attach the score which is affected by the problem.
Have you by any chance disabled the option View > Show Unprintable ? If so, you need to enable this option. On your original score, the empty measure 23 has an actual duration of 6/4, which is twice the duration of a standard 3/4 measure. This image shows the relevant measures from your original score:

As regards m.24 (displayed as "25"), you can easily check the Measure properties. On your original score, m.24 has Add to measure number: 1. It may also be the case on your current score?

@DanielR: I found an other way.
- Select a wrong measure. Some (tuplet) notes of the next measure are also selected. Delete them.
- Open measure properties and modify to 4/4 - Apply - modify back to 3/4 - Press OK.
- reenter the missing notes

Thank you.. based on the feedback .. I will begin to reconcile the score from the beginning as I found several other anomalies..
