PDF cannot be exported to single long page with continous view enabled

Formerly, you could set the view to 'continuous' and when exporting the score to pdf, the pdf becomes a single long page. This is what I would like to achieve. But now, no matter what I do, the pdf will always be several pages.

I want to create a video with the sheets being synchronized with the music (which is a recording of my own playing). For this, I set it to continuous view and put spacers for every three bars, and make a screenshot of each of them. Now, the page end is in the way, making it impossible to make all pictures the same size.

I searched around and saw that this was called a 'bug' and has been fixed. Is that correct? That would be quite a shame since I didn't experience this at all as a bug. I found it a very nice feature. Is there anything I can do to solve this?
