Flam Playback

I'm a marching percussionist writing for personal projects and what not, and I am just very annoyed with the inconsistent flam playback. It seems to be working just fine with a single note, but as soon as you add a double stroke to the note it completely ruins the sound.

I was just wondering if any of you have found a work around this, as most of the stuff I work on is specifically to listen to. Thanks!
