Two syllables or words on one note

I have a song where there are sometimes two syllables on one note. Is there a proper way to do this in MuseScore? So far I wrote the two words with a tilde (~) in between them, but maybe there's a better way.

I could change the eight' note into two sixteenth' , but I prefer to stick to the sheet music as it is published.
