MuseSounds Accent Interpretation
I love using MuseSounds, it sounds incredible for any orchestra played on a computer, and especially one that is free, but I do have a few small gripes with how it interprets some things that I would like to share my two cents on.
One of them is accents. This is present on a few instruments I've noticed, but especially on the Alto Saxophone if you want to hear and test for yourself, and it is that the accents get way too quiet, almost like a fortepiano. Ideally, I think the accent should add more power/volume to the front of the note and then go back to the original dynamic, but instead, it is going like 3 dynamics down, and really taking away a lot of power from held notes when it should be doing the opposite and giving them more umph.

A lot of people interpret accents in different ways. As a saxophonist, I've mostly seen the interpretation where the accent means to 'taper' the note and not make it louder. The 'bounciness' of the note will contrast heavily with a legato note and create more impact, even though it's in theory quieter (though usually people still make the attack louder anyway). I think musesounds does a good job if you're wanting this interpretation, though I see what you mean; A lot of times, accents mean 'loud'

There are many ways to interpret different musical elements of course, so I am not trying to say that the interpretation is "wrong", but I also think that in software like MuseScore it's better to keep simpler and more consistent interpretations of things, just because it is all being played by a computer, which can't decipher musical context like a person can, so more specific interpretations of things like articulation may not work in all the applications people could be using it in.
