adding measures
Hi all, I am transcribing a sax part from Seger's turn the page. I am fumbling my way through and have reached the bottom of the page with 64(?) measures to go. when I add measures to end of score, it make tied rested measures. I can't write notation to these tied wrest measures. same happens if I try to add measures before the last (selected) measure, if I add 32 measures, they appear as tied rests, again, I can't add notes. I am frustrated.
also there are repeating 8 measure passages, would be great to be able to select that passage and copy it, and paste it where it repeats....
I also can't imagine getting this help via posts... seems tech support would be better, but that's not an option. I am in awe of people that can write full scores in this software.
Help if you can please.

If you have added measures and they are multi-measure rests, press 'M' or Ctrl+Shift+M' (depending on the version) and they will become single measures.

Select the measures you want to copy
CTRL+C to do the copying
Select the place you want to paste
CTRL+V to do the pasting
See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/copy-and-paste for (lots) more detail.

Firstly, if you have multi-measure rests, simply press 'N' at the rest and you can enter notes. Once you have written a note, the multi-measure rest will be 1 rest shorter. And so on ...
What doesn't work for you when you copy and paste? First select the range (select first measure, Shift+select the last mesaure), then copy and paste to a new location.
HildeK and Steveblower, thank you to both of you for your prompt assistance on my issues. I have used this software only to write some rifs and key signatures for mostly inprovised songs. My friend that is going to fill in for me asked for a complete chart with rests and things, so he could play completely by reading the chart. Never done this, and did not know how to do the things I asked about. I have learned a lot. I appreciate the help. I played a couple of youtube videos, and my eyes glazed over. thanks again.
