Dynamic metadata?
It would be really cool for the score metadata as seen in File/Info to update automatically when the corresponding text fields are changed in the score, and vice versa.
I have no idea how easy this would be to achieve, but it would save on some typing.
This would particularly valuable now the the user is initially presented with My First Score on first opening the application.
Unfortunately at present changing the title to the name of the song currently does not affect the metadata even after a reload.

I'm afraid it's a deeper than that. What you call the title of the score has no existence for MuseScore, it's just a text with a text style being Title. You can add several of these texts in your score and they are not considered has being the title of the score.

So we would need to change the architecture to achieve this then?
I wonder how many people even know or care what "metadata" is, or consider it remotely important.

I think the MuseScore app for Android/iOS uses the metadata to show the score's name.
Looks pretty strange it that differs largely from the Title and/or filename

The number of comments about missing copyright fields in MuseScore 2 beta suggest that they do.

I don't recall many comments about _missing_ copyright fields, just how to enter and/or format it.
I do agree with you about the metadata. The data is too static and stale, so I generally ignore it as you are never asked to update it once entered.
If it really is required, even though I suspect the average user doesn't know that, then it needs to be updated, some fields by an automatic method and some by the user. But when would be a good place to request the fields be checked/updated by the user? When saving the score for the first time, or every time, or...?
