very unique! I like it! It almost sounds like something you might find on a video game.

flutezrule: Are you getting an error? What does the error message say?
The file opens for me using the latest version of MuseScore (version 1.0).
In reply to flutezrule: Are you getting by David Bolton
the error message says windows needs to find the program that created it and i also have musescore 1.0

If you are opening the file directly from the browser for the first time, then you need to tell your browser which program to open the file with. If you are on Windows it will be located at something similar to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Musescore\bin\mscore.exe
In reply to If you are opening the file by David Bolton
ok i'll try to open it again to see if it will open with those instructions thanks
ok when i tried to do that musescore wasnt in program files (C) but i have it under my documents which is where all the music i created is so i tried the search for the appropriate program to open it and it says MuseScore which i have so i am very confused
In reply to ok i'll try to open it again by Cortney M
There is a difference between a document and a program . Did you install MuseScore according to the instructions in the handbook (see Installation )? Are you saying that you installed MuseScore into your "My Documents" folder instead of the normal location?
What do you mean by "it says MuseScore which i have so i am very confused"? What says MuseScore?

"What do you mean by "it says MuseScore which i have so i am very confused"? What says MuseScore?"
>>i said that the program windows says it needs musescore to open the document and i have musescore
as for your other statement....i might have downloaded it wrong i did download it into "my documents" folder because thats where i had downloaded musescore 9.6.3 so i'll redownload it and put it in the right place this time then try it again

Downloading is a separate step from installing. Have you managed to use MuseScore at all yet? If not instructions to install are described in the handbook as previously mentioned.
You need to select the MuseScore program the first type you open a MuseScore document from the web browser as mentioned above. This tells the web browser to use MuseScore to open .mscz files in the future.

i have used musescore a lot....and i know how to use it pretty well well i have downloaded it into the correct spot but it still won't let me download it without the dialog box saying exactly this "window cannot open this file: to open this file, windows needs to know what program created it. Windows can go online to look it up automatically, or you can manually select from a list of programs on your computer." i try to select musescore from the list of programs on my computer but it's not working

Does the file open if you save the file and open it from your documents folder by double clicking on the file icon? Or are you only having a problem when you try to open the file from your web browser? Which web browser are you using?
In reply to Does the file open if you by David Bolton
Well I usually get a problem when trying to open it from the internet....I can't find it in my documents....but I use google chrome

Do MuseScore files (that you created) open if you double click on them in your documents folder? To find a list of files you have downloaded in Chrome I typed "chrome downloads" into a search engine and it gave me the following page: http://www.google.com/support/chrome/bin/answer.py?answer=95758
Also for me there isn`t problem.

NIce key changes - easy & smooth. Good beat, it swings. Would love to hear it with a rhythm track or two.
