abc plugin not working
I'm running MuseScore 1.0 on a 64-bit laptop under Ubuntu 11.04 linux. If I download an abc file via Firefox5 and save the file then try to import it to Muse I get the error message 'tag mismatch at line4 column7'. I cant see anything wrong with the abc listing except that there is a blank line at the start. If I delete that the message changes to 'tag mismatch at line5 column7'. I've tried several different abc files to no effect. I've tried using abc2xml and that program has crashed. Can anyone throw some help my way please? I've checked the forums and googled but found nothing similar so far. I've attached an example abc file (in txt format).

There was a problem with the webservice powering the abc conversion (http://abc2xml.appspot.com/). It's now fixed.

Thanks for letting me know. That certainly is a good workaround which I will use. However I would also like to understand why the abc import plugin in Muse seems to be having a problem with the same abc file. Thanks again.

The ABC plugin in MuseScore calls the webservice I mentioned behind the scene so normally if you can't convert a file with MuseScore plugin, you can't do it neither with http://abc2xml.appspot.com/

I had wondered if that was the case. Thanks again for your help.
Today the import is working if I remove the first (blank) line of the abc file. If I re-insert the blank line, the import does not work. As far as I'm concerned that solves it. Thanks.
