Issue when writing gregorian psalm tone accompaniment
I am trying to write a tone to a gospel acclamation taken from a hymn. Simple tone, I have seen it somewhere before. I am trying to harmonize it, but the problem appears to be 2 extra beats in voice 2.
Any help?

In order to do more than guess, we'd need you to attach the actual score, not just a picture of it.
As it is, there are three logical guesses:
1) you are using multiple vocies somewhere, and that rest belong to a voice that is otherwise not complete
or
2) the measure in question has its actual duration set two beats longer than you think (in Measure Properties)
or
3) the score has become corrupt (in which case you'd see a warning upon loading it)
Solved, I deleted the rest causing the problem... stupid me why didn't I think of this earlier

If you were able to delete the rest then it definitely was in a separate voice, fwiw
