install when not admin
hi all!
I have a new, work, laptop on which I would like to use musescore (whatever the version, I have the most recent one on my "big" computer), but as it is a work computer, I am not administrator of it, and I can't install any software on it (and the administrator doesn't want as it is a free software).
Is there a method to install this software without being administrator? Or a specific version of the software for this kind of use?
Thanks!

Hi Flog, MuseScore has a portable version which allows you to run MuseScore without having to install it. For the instructions, see https://musescore.org/node/11193

thanks, I will have a look at this!
Actually, I still can't use it right now. I will see whether I can install it on a usb stick from my own computer then use it from my work computer, and will let you know!

actually, it doesn't work :(
I have installed musescore portable on my usb disk via my personal computer, but I can't run any ".exe" file on the computer...
So sad!

Not meaning to be rude, but what you are trying to do is pretty clearly against the wishes of the owner of that hardware...which isn't you (ahem). I don't know how the particular company for which you work feels about employees trying to hack past the user-account restrictions on their work computers, but I do know that for many companies, such behaviour is a firing offense.
You might want to rethink things a bit. Basic netbooks are cheap (and much lighter in weight than a commercial office laptop). If you really need a portable to run MuseScore while traveling, buying one for a few hundred bucks might save you your job.
