How to show something on the score but not have it play during playback
I'm not sure how to describe it, but what I'm thinking is the ability to take something like a flam (grace note on a snare drum) that sounds pretty bad in playback and have it stay visible on the score but "invisible" on the recording. What I'm saying is kind of like marking something as invisible on the score, only instead of it disappearing, just mute it. I just think it would be a good feature to have.

Hey, MegaFresh! The easiest way to implement it at the moment is with Velocity. Velocity is a Midi command which tells your software how hard/soft the note must be played. This is not volume - instead think of how hard a piano player would press on a key.
Just right-click (or command-click on a Mac) on the note, select Note Properties, and then select Velocity Type to "user" and then set the Velocity to 0.
That's a workaround for now, at least!

Wow, wish I had known about this earlier! Many thanks.

I think it would still be good for a "Mute This Note" feature to be present. Velocity is quite an advanced Midi subject that very few score-writers would know about...
