Creating Frame in Handbook
Perhaps this topic has already been mentioned but consulting the
Handbook about how to create a frame it is written:
Create > Measures, but that must be Create > Bars
to create the frame.

The handbook is for American English. If you read "Bars" in MuseScore, you are using MuseScore in UK english.

Thanks lasconic, are there more of such 'troublespots' in the Handbook
that you know of (or somebody else on this Forum)?

I guess everything related to note names since UK uses quavers etc... while US uses 8th, quarter etc... You could check the UK translation of the UI against the original US to find out.
