Feature Request: More readable text across barlines

• Jul 8, 2019 - 12:21

Here's the Thing: When writing something long like "con sord., sul tasto" or "sempre ritardando" between two staves so that the crosses a bar line it becomes a Little difficult to read in that spot, especially if a letter like "i", "f", "l" or "t" lies on the bar line (also it doesn't look very nice...). My idea would be that there should be a Text Option in the Inspector to create a sort of "White Background" to the text so that the bar line will "break" at that Point and the text is easier to read (and again, it would look better…). I've attached an Image that Shows what i mean exactly.

...or is something like this already possible and i just haven't found it yet?

Give your text a frame.
Change the frame border color to white.
Change the frame highlight color to have an alpha value of 255, making it no longer transparent. A value of 196 is usable as well if otherwise too little of the barline remains visible.
