Customizing Dynamics

Hey MS

I just read through the handbook about editing dynamics and although I'm able to decrease the volume of a decrescendo at the exit am I also able to edit the entry point?

If I said it a different way: I'm trying to have a 2-3 bar fadeout and trying to do that with a crescendo. However it doesn't affect the piece until the last two notes.

Suggestions?

The usual method is to add a dynamic at the first note and the last note of the crescendo, then select the range of these notes and add the crescendo (btw. shouldn't it be a decrescendo?).
