midi keyboard problem

Hi, this may be a repeated thread, but i can't find a search button anywhere, so i might as well start a new thread

i'm using yamaha np30 keyboard under windows xp, but it seems musescore only recognize one key note at the time also, the default piano sound is too low, i've got midi cable and everything setup properly (other program doing just fine) here's my setting in i/o setup:

use internal synthesizer: checked
portaudio: checked
api: windows directsound
device: pirmary sound capture driver

portMidid input interface:
my midi cable shows up correctly here

any help?
