Nyan Cat Song

• May 15, 2011 - 23:57

I'm not sure if you guys have ever seen this video on Youtube but its an 8-bit pixel picture of a cat running through space trailing a rainbow, with this music. I thought it was catchy, and even if you haven't seen the video its still worth hearing, remember I did not write this, but I'm not sure who did.

you posted "mscz" which is a back up file or something. it can't be opened. go back and find your file that ends msc - no "z" and upload it. i am interested to hear this piece.

no worries. i did this also.

mscz is indeed a backup file, in which one find a mscx file, which is only music score, in fact a special kind of xml file, and if requested other files (images for instance) required for the final presentation of the score.

If you don't tell to your system that these special backup files are specialized for Musescore, it tries to open them as backups....

"MSCZ" is _not_ a backup file, it is the normal default MS file. "MSCX" is the old XML MS file type. "MSCZ," (with the comma) is the backup file. Clicking on the above file works fine, as it always has for all mscz files posted here. If it was the backup file "mscz," it would not open up automatically and you would be requested to save it.

I don't have a file without the "z" at the end, when I attached the file I just used the one I open to play it, it has the Musescore file symbol with the name "nya" under it, I don't think its a backup file.

Mscz files are the norm, you are perfectly correct to post them as they are the MS score files. Some people seem to be having a confusing day (or a confusing long holiday weekend here in Canada). :-)
