Beaming request

I have copied an snare drum exercise for sight singing class. I found there is a little bit limited the beamign options of MuseScore 1.0. I export that to Finale and change the beaming in a way I think is better to read.
Is there some way to get it directly from MuseScore?
I am posting the two examples
