Making notes bigger
I'm making a score for my younger brother, and he's having trouble reading the notes so I wondered if there was a way to make them bigger so he can see them better?

Well I am not sure whether it is possible just to enlarge the notes, but you can change the scale of everything.
Go to Layout – Page settings and in popped-up window Page Settings change Scaling. Everything on the page should be bigger then.

I would recommend to scale everything, however if you really want to enlarge just the notes you can change the size of a small note. Default this is set to 70%, but you can also set this to 130% (or any other value). You will find the setting in Style->General->Sizes
