How to hold a note and play others at the same time.. HELP!!
Okay, so I have this song that's published on sheet music, and I"m trying to recreate it in MuseScore so I can transpose it. Well, it's 4/4 timing, and in one of the measures it has just 4 basic quarter notes, but it also has 2 half notes that you hold while you play the other 4 quarter notes. So it's like.. quarter note & half note, quarter note (while still holding half note), quarter note & new half note, quarter note (while still holding new half note). I've tried inserting all the quarter notes in the measure and then adding the half notes below but MuseScore then deletes my quarter notes and replaces them with the half note I just entered. How can tell MuseScore that I want to play the half note and the quarter note at the same time??

Put in the quarter note, press the green 2 above your score (on the taskbar), and put in the half notes.

Also, I don't know if this is possible, but can you make the timing of the treble in one measure different than the timing of the bass in the same measure??
