Click on the note to select/highlight it. In the row of icons across the top of ms, where you select note duration, sharp, rest, etc., there is one toward the right called "flip direction".
(Preferred by lowbrow GUI users like moi, to the keyboard shortcut...)

Select note(s) - press "x".
Notes must have the same direction.
