Problem with Recorder (soprano) fingering font. Maybe a Bug?

• Aug 25, 2016 - 20:10

Hi, gang!!!

I use Ubuntu Studio 16.04 LTS (Lynux) with MuseScore 2.0.3 portable version.

I discovered a problem when we install the Lasconic's Recorder Fingering Font and we try to use it, as standard lyrics, into a music score.

Please, see the attachment file, to understand the problem.

As you can see, any note above central A appears in a very "non-standard", rare, not usable, way.

You can get the fingering, type it twice, but with that ugly and not usable way (the empty rectangle and the right fingering too small and out of the right place).

The same to any sharp or flat note, all the scale.

This problem is about the "infamous" unicode system.

This problem is the same into Windows XP and 7 (I don't have any other PC with another Windows version to test it, sorry).

However, if you install the old version of MuseScore (before 2.0.0), you can use the recorder fingering font without this issue (because I guess those old versions didn't use the unicode system, maybe).

SO... There is something bad about the way MuseScore is "reading" the unicode system.

Can it be fixed? ???

Please, if someone has some new about this, please let me know.

Blessings and Greetings from Chile!!!!!!!

Juan
