Hiding multiple measures

Hi,
I need to notate some very old, folklore music. Since it's an oral tradition, many versions exist for certain parts of a given melody. That's where ossia comes in handy. The only missing thing to use ossia effectively within MuseScore is: How to hide multiple measures in one go, instead of making each and every one of those measures set to "invisible"?

Has anybody written a plug-in, for example, for such a thing?
